G. 10:5 says, "each with his own language" so they didn't speak same language. Thus, these must be from different source texts.

Lord, I don't get it. Noah got drunk. He screwed up and Ham came into his tent and saw him laying there in a stupor, naked. Why is the nakedness more dishonorable than the drunkenness? It doesn't seem righteous that Noah then curses Ham who happened upon him -- Noah-- when he was drunk and naked. Capricious ... Vindictive ... Yes. But, nonetheless, Ham and all of Canaan, his offspring, is condemned to serve Shem and Japheth who did not look upon Noah's nakedness, but covered him with a robe on their shoulders that they spread on him, or dropped on him, walking backwards into the tent. How does Noah learn of all this? Shem and Japheth must have told him, unless Ham was bad-mouthing Noah. Noah was mad enough at Ham for that to have been so. Expand
