WAS it Jesus's whole reason forgoing to the wilderness just to be tempted by the devil? Was it the fasting and prayer that being fully human, yet fully God, allowed him to contain what His "fleshly desires" might have been and could He have been more vunerable to tempation of He had not fasted and prayed for 40 days?
