But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Luke 21:21-24 describes this time frame in more detail. Concerning Judaea, in Luke 21:22 "For these be the days of vengeance" and in Luke 21:23 "for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people" and more specifically in Luke 21:24 "and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."
