And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Jesus is about to open the book so, apparently, the four beast and the 24 elders sing a NEW song that they've never sung before. However, the four beasts aren't human and they don't need redemption. So, why would they be singing about it? Probably because it's a new SONG to be sung to God even though it might not directly apply to the singer.
