After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

"After this" being after the sun and moon were darkened at the end of chapter 6 and the 144,000 were sealed. "A great multitude" being the raptured multitude. This correlates with Matthew 24:29-31 and here in Revelation it happens between the 6th and 7th seals.
