6/1/14 chapel/ choose to be rich/ Jerry- We can lol at this wrongly by calling it the doctrine of deserving ie. God has given me everything to consume on myself. The gospel if grace contrasts this. God provides what we need and is rich in every way and will provide our every need so we can become more like him. God's riches are exhaustive. Rich in salvation, kindness, forbearance, patience, holiness, grace, etc. He is rich in every way and He will provide our every need. He provides physical needs, righteous never forsaken. He provides emotional needs (psalm 17/68). Spiritual needs (gen 22:13-14). So we can become more like him every day ( for our enjoyment)bless us so we can be a blessing. Heb 12:1-2. Joy is not just about us.
